2013 ‘Zotovich Vineyard’ Pinot Noir

Vineyard Zotovich
Cases 353
Alc% 13.96

This vineyard was one of the final lots to be harvest, on September 24 at 24 brix. The fruit underwent a 5-day cold-soak with 1-3 punch-downs. After fermentation, the wine was pressed and put into French oak barrels, 15 percent new. It aged for 13 months before being racked and bottled in September.

Tasting Notes There’s a vibrancy to this wine, starting with its dark garnet color. The nose is full of ripe blackberry and cassis, and black cherry along with woodsy, forest-floor aromas and subtle hints of vanilla. The entry on the palate is strong, with concise minerality and generous tannin. These continue on a very long finish. This wine showcases both power and restraint, and we think it will age quite well.
