Wine & Spirits rates two Chanin 2014 wines as Year’s Best!

 

Luke Sykora of Wine & Spirits recently rated two Chanin wines as exceptional with a rating of 91 each.

2014 Santa Maria Valley Bien Nacido Vineyard Chardonnay- 91 

” Since 2008 Gavin Chanin has his made Bien Nacid0 chardonnay from a single block planted in 1973.  The mature vines responded well to warm 2014 vintage, growing a chardonnay with an earthen persistence ”

2014 Sta. Rita Hills Sanford & Benedict Vineyard Pinot Noir – 91

“This delicate nimble wine id ran from the Santa Rita hills’ original pinot block, planted in 1971, as well as a nearby 20-year-old section of Sanford & Benedict. It’s brisk and vibrant but not angular, with an inviting cashmere-like softness to its raspberry and rose-petal tones”
