2017 Los Alamos Vineyard Chardonnay- 92 Points
The 2017 Chardonnay Los Alamos Vineyard, made using 15% new oak, has an open nose of toast, hazelnut and river stone with quince, warm white peach, honeycomb, honeysuckle and citrus peel. Light to medium-bodied, it has a wonderful core of warm, savory accented fruits, with juicy acidity and a long, layered finish. Yum!
2017 Bien Nacido Vineyard Chardonnay– 93 Points
From 40-year-old vines, the 2017 Chardonnay Bien Nacido Vineyard has a very pretty, giving nose of sweet hay, toast, toasted hazelnut, pastry crust, yellow peach, baked apple pie, baker’s yeast and stony hints. Medium to full-bodied, it has a great core of warm spiced fruit with a creamy texture and long, mineral-driven finish

From vines planted in the early 1970s, the 2017 Chardonnay Sanford & Benedict Vineyard has a youthfully restrained nose, slowly opening to toasted hazelnut, gunflint and stone with ripe white peach, red apple skin, citrus peel, pastry crust and baker’s yeast hints. Light to medium-bodied with a silky, creamy texture, it has a great core of nuanced fruits with juicy acidity and a long, spicy, textured finish

2017 Sanford & Benedict Vineyard Pinot Noir– 94 Points
Pale to medium ruby-purple, the 2017 Pinot Noir Sanford & Benedict Vineyard has a pretty nose of dried rose petal, orange peel and amaro with raspberry and strawberry preserves, cocoa, warm black cherries, perfumed earth, mineral notions, charcuterie and cinnamon stick—what a wonderful perfume! It’s light to medium- bodied with fantastic intensity and oodles of floral perfume. It has a firm frame of very finely grained tannins and juicy freshness, finishing very long and perfumed.
2017 Schock Family Vineyard Pinot Noir- 93 Points
This is the first vintage of the Schock single-vineyard bottling, a five-acre vineyard on very sandy soils just outside the Sta. Rita Hills appellation. The 2017 Pinot Noir Schock Family Vineyard is pale to medium ruby and has a very perfumed nose of baker’s chocolate, nutmeg and cinnamon stick hints, with oodles of floral perfume, ripe red and black berries and touches of orange oil and tobacco leaf. The palate is light to medium- bodied and silky with spicy accents wrapped in fine, ripe tannins and juicy freshness, finishing very long and layered.
2017 Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir- 92 Points
The 2017 Pinot Noir Sta. Rita Hills is medium to deep ruby-purple in the glass and lusciously fruited on the nose, with boysenberry and blueberry preserves, warm black cherries, cocoa, nutmeg, tons of floral perfume and earthy hints. The medium-bodied palate is generous, spicy and ripe with silky tannins and integrated freshness, finishing long on a chocolaty note. Bold, luscious and delicious!
